Mount Robson

Mount Robson is the tallest mountain in the Canadian Rockies, and one of the most popular destinations for hikers and climbers. The mountain towers over 3,900 meters (12,865 feet) above sea level, making it a challenge for even experienced climbers. The mountain was named after Sir George Simpson, a Governor of the Hudson’s Bay Company. Sir George Simpson was a Canadian explorer who was born in 1786. He joined the Hudson’s Bay Company in 1820 and was appointed as the Governor of the Hudson’s Bay Company in 1828. He explored many parts of Canada and wrote several books about his travels. In 1913, a team of Swiss guides became the first people to climb Mount Robson.
